Rodrigue Knives

Pierre is a part time knifemaker, who makes a living as a professional surveyor in Alberta and Saskatchewan. He was also a member of the Canadian Forces.  Pierre got into knife making because he was unhappy with the quality of knives found at most retail outlets.

Pierre does custom projects including folding knives, pocket and tactical.  As well as hunting knives, fillet knives, and recently, he has been doing kitchen knives.

His preferred blade steel is CPM steels- CPM154 and CPM S30V.  He has also used RWL34, ATS34, O1, CPM D2.  Pierre forges his own damascus and Sanmai for special pieces.

For handles, he uses various synthetics, bone or horn, and stabilized woods. He finds that  burls and spalted woods can be outstanding, and is always looking for that special piece.
